Making Books — Gaining Skills

Dots Paper Scissors is part of Eden Transition Alliance. It’s a project that produces tactile pictures books for young children, especially targeting blind toddlers who have few options for learning about tactile images. The book makers include young adults with various disabilities. They are learning to use office machines (die cutter and embosser, paper cutter, coil and comb binders) to make these books. We have gotten grants from a parent group, the Lions Foundation of Michigan, Delta Dental, and Rainbow Resources to buy some of the supplies we need to create the tactile images.
